Clinical Trials
Bay Area Clinical Services (BACS), dba Earle Research, is a dedicated research site committed to improving the lives of others while advancing the development of new medication strategies and treatments through clinical research. Our site is under the supervision of Robert N Earle MD, Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., and has been in operation since 2005. We are located in the heart of the Clear Lake Area of greater Houston – south of the world renown Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas . Our central location provides for easy access from the surrounding areas.
Earle Research is proficient in Phase II-IV neuroscience outpatient clinical trials. While constantly looking to contribute to new areas, we have participated successfully in multiple studies addressing Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Migraine Headaches.
Placebo Response
Placebo response is a major issue in clinical trials for psychiatric disorders. To combat this problem, we pay close attention to issues of diagnostic accuracy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, quality of data measurement and entry, patient and clinician expectations about the trial, non-specific therapeutic effects, and attrition rates. We make every effort to ensure the the most accurate data for the trial sponsor.
Volunteers
Study volunteers at Earle Research play a critical role in the advancement of new treatments for different disease processes. The safety and comfort of our study subjects is of utmost importance and is taken into consideration at every step of the clinical trial process. We work diligently to assist all patients in maximizing treatment options whether that is through our private practice, or through participation in one of our clinical research studies. Our staff is available to answer any question about ongoing studies.
